Handcrafted Herbal Teas, Bath and Skincare Products, Botanical + Eco Art

About
At Seven Sisters Botanicals we believe in the mental and physical benefits of a simple, herb-filled life. We farm, forage and thrive in the abundance that nature provides while promoting individual self-care and community-building through plant and land-based practices and art. Our simple products are crafted with care with formulas that are healthful and gentle. All are made in small batches from the best quality ingredients and organically grown herbs harvested and sourced by our ecology-mindful team. We are stewards of the land and aspire towards making the world a more beautiful, healthy, kind, equitable and just place.
Seven Sisters Botanicals is a daughter company of Novae Farm + Gardens. NFG is a hub for ecology, horticulture, wellness, culture and art. The herbs used in Seven Sisters Botanicals products are selected and grown by us on our little farm in the Hudson Valley of New York.
WHO WE ARE
We are a family of farmers, gardeners, birders, woodworkers and artists with a mother-and-son team at the core. Surrounded by six biological sisters, (even more) brothers, our children and grandchildren, our lineage is of Central and West African peoples, Spanish, Italian and Indigenous peoples of Central and South America. We live on three continents and through marriages our family’s bloodline includes Scots, Germans, Cherokees and East Indians. We are the multi-culti. Altogether we carry thousands of years of varied and storied histories and experience, and navigate the world with tonka beans, nutmeg and hot pepper sauce pumping through our veins.
The inspiration for Seven Sisters Botanicals sprang from a desire for a simple, more healthful and more meaningful life. Inspiration also came from lessons learned from an industrious, resourceful and kind woman named Pearl, who lived in the small town of Rio Claro, Trinidad and Tobago. We grew up following her around the land while she cultivated herbs for cooking and medicine and helped her tend her beautiful gardens. As she created wholesome meals, hunted, braided grass and crafted products to enhance the lives of her family and community, we observed her passion and tenacity and her commitment to tradition and living well, despite limited resources. We also witnessed Pearl's faith in God and reaped the benefits of being under her umbrella of spirituality. My siblings and I thrived under Pearl's guidance and the support of our story-telling, bird-obsessed father. Eternally grateful for ancestral knowledge, we continue Pearl’s traditions of making simple and effective plant-based products. Like Pearl and our forefathers we plant, forage, harvest, practice husbandry and food preservation with the cycles of the moon and with other lessons from the land.

We hope you enjoy our offerings and thank you for being part of our plant and nature-based community.
